In case you’re interested… I haven’t been online as much as usual but I am missing my lovely Tumblr-ers!
I’m back in Canada after spending the past year in Prague - it’s summer and it’s beautiful and I’m kind of pseudo-vacationing with the odd day at the beach and lunches with old friends while working flat-out on my two big projects: getting ready for baby and getting ready to publishThe Con.
First, baby: I’m feeling very well most of the time - if you can believe it, I’m seven months along now (and rather large these days). Next week we move into our new house and I can finally start nesting/getting my life together/throwing out all-kinds-of-stuff we don’t need to make room for the all-kinds-of-stuff babies come with. Josh and I are both uber-excited about the little one, especially now that it’s making its presence known quite frequently with regular soccer practices/dance lessons/whatever it’s doing in there. It’s a big life change, but I’m already in love.
And book: as my self-imposed deadline (that is, baby’s arrival!) grows closer, I’m getting a little nervous about getting everything done on time. So long as things go as planned (that is, baby stays put until the end of September!), Ishouldbe able to make it all happen. As publication gets closer, however, I’m also getting nervous - as I always do - about sharing the book with all of you! The feedback I’ve received so far has been largely positive, which is encouraging, but it’s always nerve-wracking to put something new you’ve created out there, isn’t it?
I hope that all of you are having gorgeous summers, and I would love to hear about them! Even if I can’t be around as much these days, know that I’m still thinking of all of you.
And someday I’ll start writing fanfic again too.
