From peacelovepomegranates:
So upon randomly going through some old spiral notebooks, I came across a poem that I must’ve written shortly after reading LTD, and I thought it might be fun to share with you:
They call you Up for gazing stars,
For dreaming about worlds afar,
And never knowing of the scars
That cannot mark your skin.
You saw this place for what it was:
This world below, the stars above,
And somewhere, there, a fleeting love
And adventure waiting to begin.
They trained you well and taught you much,
You faced it all and grew to be tough,
And like a diamond in the rough,
You stood to change the world.
One mission, though, would change the stars:
Back to Earth, not moons or Mars,
Where you would find, with a broken heart,
One small, life-changing girl.

The funny thing is, this is the one I’m least prepared to write.
I’m thinking an LtD-universe adventure set sometime between the Graali moon and the ball on Europa. A missing chapter, if you will.
Toss some inspiration at me?
Yes, it’s gorgeous and glorious and brilliant and yes. :)

(Portrayed me and my boyfriend.)All I cared about was finding one photo of us, and someone at last sent me one! I couldn’t be happier. (:
Look at you precious things!
I hope you can watch my video. This is about LTD for you, Karri!
To you, starkidsforever, and all of your friends who helped with the translation or recorded a message for this video: I hope you don’t mind me sharing it!
I am so incredibly touched. I am just in awe of how all of you were able to connect with my story, and all the effort and love you must have poured into making a Russian translation. The fact that you have come together and shared this… I don’t even know what to say! I am so very thankful for all of you.
(My pregnancy hormones cannot hold all of these feels!)
All my love.

Hey Karri:) I don’t know if you’ve had the chance to read our LTD sequel? We’ve posted chapters 1-6 so far (we upload a chapter a day) and your opinion counts more than anything!! http://purplefanmagic.tumblr.com/ForeverDancing Please let us know your thoughts when you have time <3
Hi! I would love to read your sequel, and there are a few pieces I’ve got bookmarked to read as soon as I get the chance. I’ll post this publicly in case there is anyone else who would like to check it out in the meantime! :)

It was the worst devastation Taz had seen in years.
An entire planet, tiny, harmless, one of the fledgling colonies the G.L.E.E. had begun in an effort to find a new home for the soon-to-be homeless citizens of a dying Earth. The colonies had been strategically scattered throughout the galaxy in the hopes of making them as difficult to find as possible.
But the robots had found this one.
The Cazadora’s away teams walked the bruised soil slowly, each step further confirming the desperation of the situation. They’d responded to the colony’s distress call as quickly as the starship could get them there, quick enough to chase the robots away. Not quick enough to save the colonists.
Over six hundred people, Taz kept repeating to herself. Six hundred. They were salvaging what they could, what equipment hadn’t been damaged, what food stores were left in the warehouses. Up looked back at her now, a gas mask obliterating half his face. A deep sadness was caught in his eyes, and maybe a little concern.
Of course it reminded her of the losses she’d suffered. But she’d survived them. If only she could believe there were survivors here.
As the thought crossed her mind, Up suddenly raised his hand. The team stopped moving, and now Taz could hear what Up had heard.
Footsteps.
The Rangers raised their zappers, and then a tiny figure emerged from the smoke.
It was a child. A girl, her face blackened, her hair burnt nearly to her scalp. She cupped something in her hands, and hesitated when she saw the soldiers and their guns.
Taz stepped forward instinctively. The girl looked at her with very large eyes. She opened her hands.
“A snowdrop,” she whispered. Still rooted in soil. A single bloom and a child. Two living things in this world of the dead.
“It’s the flower of hope,” said Up.
Taz cupped the girl’s hands with her own. “Yes,” she said, smiling to show the little girl that she didn’t need to be afraid anymore. “Hope.”

It was a beautiful morning, for what was left of them on Earth. But then this place could never be anything but beautiful, with its tumbling ruins and tossing sea, the Mexican sun on white sand.
Taz and Up stood hand in hand on the top of the highest temple, looking out at the waves. Peace stole over her. It was always like that here.
