This message makes me super happy because a Reddy (Ten?) shipper, yay! but also sad because I have to tell you that no, I can’t really spend much time with Ren and Teddy now that The Con is out as I need to be working on Bent (certain characters of which I hope you will be shipping too!). BUT I will tell you that while I don’t really intend to write a sequel, I do have certain ideas for what such a sequel might contain.
They include Accio Butterbeer! and Neville’s Toad on tour.
Abroad.
And I had better stop thinking about it or else I might just have to write it.
Ahhh thank you! I’m so glad you like it! And some cool Con-related news coming up… :) :) :)
And I sit down after a long day of doing nothing, think for a moment, then slap my self in the forehead and scream at myself, “OH MY GOD YOU’VE FORGOTTEN TO READ THE CON IT’S DOWNLOADED AND EVERYTHING HOW HAVE YOU NOT?!” and I retreat to the corner of my room and bury myself in it.
Hope you like it!
I’ve nearly read half of it and I have feels and I wish GeekyCon was real Karri make it real pleeeeeease
I wish… :)
(I am so glad you like it!!!!)
Here you are, lovelies! Click here to download your PDF copy of an exclusive excerpt from The Con. I hope you enjoy (although i admit it’s just a tease)!
Thank you always for your love and support.

… as it is the birthday of Pedro’s Army! One whole year has passed since the first day to try to get into Pottermore. Unfortunately, I cannot count myself as part of the initial group, but I consider myself a proud ensign (or agent; whatever we are nowadays) regardless. Anyways, as tomorrow is our birthday, I was hoping to have a party of some sort in the TC. I understand that this is a teensy bit difficult with the timezones, but I think we can make it work.
What can we do at the party? Watch ‘Starship’, draw on the Whiteboard, maybe do a reading of ‘Learning to Dance’. One other thing that would be kind of cool is to write a load of Tup since there seems to be a deficiency of it at the moment. Also, I’m preparing something to celebrate this special day. I hope to have it ready by tomorrow.
Let me know about possible times by replying to the post, and reblog to get the word out!.
Happy almost Birthday!

The first thing that Ren Coffey needs you to know is that she is nobody’s fangirl.
She agreed to play with wizard rock band Neville’s Toad at their crazy geek conference only because her cousin Whitney begged her to – and for the free trip to Florida. So when a chance encounter with wrocker-turned-movie star Teddy Hudson leads to an unusual proposal to help him stave off the more fervent of his rabid fans, she figures she can handle his supposed charm. What she doesn’t expect to find is how much she and Teddy actually have in common – and just how much their charade could cost her before it’s done.
Set in the unconventional world of fan conventions, The Con is a novella about music, friendship, and finding the courage to geek out to your heart’s content.
The Con will be available in print and ebook formats at your favourite online retailers. For more, check out www.karrijustinashea.com.

Have a beautiful week!
It’s been quite a year. I still can’t believe that last June, I was plotting how best to kill off poor Pedro, and today I get to ecstatically announce that since its Christmas release, the Learning to Dance ebook has been downloaded more than one thousand times.
Things there are less than a thousand of:
That number, when combined with the incalculable views LtD has seen online on Tumblr and Fanfiction.net, equals a whole lot more people than I ever imagined would read this little story of mine. The fact that new readers are still discovering it, new fanart is being drawn, and new tears are being shed even now continues to boggle my mind. You are all amazing.
(Incidentally, if you haven’t yet, I highly recommend getting yourself a copy of the free LtD ebook - available in PDF, mobi, and ePub formats, it’s the most up-to-date, polished, and best version of the story available - with bonus gorgeous full-colour illustrations by official artist Kendyll Romine!)
To celebrate, and as a lead-in to some even cooler announcements to come, I’m announcing the Learning to Dance 1000+ Downloads Tumblr Give away!
The Prizes:
Third Prize - A set of three adorable LtD buttons featuring fan-favourite quotes: “Wherever you’re going, Starship Ranger, I’m going with you,” “It’s always been you and me, right?” and of course, “Sometimes dreams come true.” These buttons are not currently available anywhere else!
Second Prize - An 8×10 art print of your choice from amazing artist Ree‘s LtD Society6 store and a set of three LtD quote buttons!

As a work of fanfiction, it has never been, and will never be, available to purchase - this is literally the only chance you will ever get to own one. I will, of course, personalize an inscription for the winner inside the book’s cover. Oh yes, and I’ll throw in a set of LtD quote buttons too!
